The Awa collection—named after the Japanese word for “a bubble of air trapped within a liquid”—is a testament to the harmony between visual lightness and technical precision. Designed by Fumie Shibata for Brokis, the Medium (PC1129) model is crafted to give the impression of a luminous ball of air floating gently in space.

The design’s most striking feature is how the wood and metal components “grip” the glass, appearing like stoppers that prevent the air from escaping. This sophisticated interplay of materials showcases the heritage of Bohemian glassmaking. Each globe is individually hand-blown, ensuring a unique character for every piece.
